Message from the Board Chair
Thank you for choosing St. Andrews Lutheran School for your child’s academic and spiritual education! For over 100 years, St. Andrews Lutheran School and Church have benefited from many of God’s amazing blessings. The school, its faculty, its students, and their families, are some of our greatest blessings.
The Board of Christian Day School (BCDS) is the school’s governing board. BCDS is composed of parents and faculty that strive to support the mission statement “St. Andrews Lutheran School nourishes the whole child in spiritual and academic growth by partnering with families to prepare the child for Christian living as an exemplary light in God’s world”. We believe this approach not only provides the best educational experience for your child but also prepares them for incredible success in the future.
BCDS has three sub-committees that review all facets of the school. The BCDS Finance Committee works on developing the budget for the upcoming fiscal school year. This includes budgeting for curriculum, technology, staffing and setting tuition/registration fees. The school’s tuition and budget are approved by the Church Council. We are so grateful for the congregation’s financial support as the actual cost to educate a child is greater than the tuition. Our Outreach Committee organizes community engagement events. St. Andrews participates in the Park Ridge Memorial Day parade, Taste of Park Ridge, Edison Park Fest and other community opportunities to share information about our wonderful school and church. Finally, our School Committee takes on reviewing school policies, ensuring that they are up-to-date, and continue to reflect our mission and vision. All of these pieces come together like a puzzle, and allow our board to make necessary decisions and recommendations to our Church Council.
It is a pleasure to serve St. Andrews Lutheran School. Your partnership, cooperation and contribution of time and talents make our school special and unique. I look forward to continuing to work with you all to ensure the success of St. Andrews Lutheran School.
On behalf of the BCDS, I’d like to once again thank you for choosing St. Andrews.
God’s Blessings to You,
Cori Tiberi, BCDS Chair
