Welcome to the St. Andrews Early Childhood Program!
We are honored to have you considering St. Andrews Lutheran School for your child(ren). Our Early Childhood Program offers both Preschool and PreKindergarten in a loving and safe environment. Both PS and PK encourage your child to grow towards being successful in school through a play based, academic focused program.
We offer parents flexible options for sending your child to preschool/prekindergarten either 2, 3, 4, and/or 5 days a week with half (8:30a.m-11:30a.m.) and full (8:30a.m.-3:20p.m.) day options. In addition, we offer before and after school childcare beginning at 7:00am and ending at 6pm each school day.
Our early childhood staff have a great love and passion for children. They are professional, well-educated, and fun fostering a loving, engaging and creative learning environment.

Preschool
For children age 3 yrs and potty trained, the focus is on exploring the concepts of school through play. Students will participate in hands-on learning that includes sensory play, art projects, playdough and manipulatives. We work on letter and number recognition, fine & gross motor skills and social interaction through play. Children will enjoy stories and songs during large group time and have the opportunity to participate in age appropriate science experiments.
Preschool is a max of 18 students per day, with 10 students able to stay full day. With one Teacher and one Assistant Teacher it is a ratio of 9:1.
PreKindergarten
For children 4-5 years of age, the focus is on demonstrating their readiness for Kindergarten by years end in a play based, academic & faith focused environment. Students participate in whole group lessons and individual reinforcement in centers of letters and pre reading skills, math and science concepts, daily Jesus Time Lessons, weekly Chapel attendance, Music, Gym, and Recess. Our goal is to be socially, academically, emotionally and spiritually ready for Kindergarten.
Prekindergarten is a max of 20 students per day, with 10 students able to stay full day. With one Teacher and one Assistant Teacher it is a 10:1 ratio.
